I accompanied a middle school class recently on a field trip to Finance Park from Junior Achievement in Fairfax, Virginia. The park is a real world education for students about budgets and costs and money in the real world. It is quite well done. The students appeared to have fun and to learn about expenses for health insurance, childcare, groceries, insurance, and more.

The park is more effective because it uses real brands, many of which the students are familiar with. For example, see the pictures I took below.

Many brands are involved as sponsors or donors. I commend them in general for helping to educate kids about finance and budgeting and expenses. And for a creative way to use their trademarks and get their brands in front of potential customers of the future.

Bonus: JA FINANCE PARK is a registered trademark at the USPTO.
