Summary: If you receive a “trademark publication” offer in the mail from North American Trademark Publications, it is a scam.
In what appears to be a new name for an old scam, don’t fall victim to the offer for “trademark publication” from North American Trademark Publications with an address in Long Island City, New York.
This “publication” has no legal effect and no real value. It is not connected to the USPTO, does not speed up examination, and provides no additional protection. In private practice and during my time as a USPTO examining attorney, I have never once seen such publications used for anything meaningful. The value of this “service” is $0.
What to do if you receive this letter
-

-

Thank you. I just opened the mail, thought what is this NATP publication trying to offer besides a bill for $1320.00
Thought I’d do a quick google search. I found your answer.
Thank you again for you making the public aware of NATP Scam.
