Summary: If you receive a “trademark publication” offer in the mail from North American Trademark Publications, it is a scam.
In what appears to be a new name for an old scam, don’t fall victim to the offer for “trademark publication” from North American Trademark Publications with an address in Long Island City, New York.
This “publication” has no legal effect and no real value. It is not connected to the USPTO, does not speed up examination, and provides no additional protection. In private practice and during my time as a USPTO examining attorney, I have never once seen such publications used for anything meaningful. The value of this “service” is $0.

Hello Kurtis my name is Ranetta and I actually have an invoice for the exact same amount from this company Steding that they filed my trademark. I didn’t file with this company. I filed with another company, but this other company was trying to defraud me and scam me also because I paid for amy name is Ranetta and I actually have a invoice for the exact same amount from this company Steding that they filed my trademark. I filed with another company, but this other company was trying to defraud me and scam me also because I paid for a trademark and a and a slogan on the same day and I have an invoice for it, but my trademark and my slogan were filed a year my slogan was filed on December 16, 2025 and my trademark was filed on June 27, 2024, but yet I paid for them the same day which was in June 2024. No in December, I received a letter from this North American trademark publications company stating that they have filed my trademark which is actually my slogan and then I had gave me my application number and everything again this is not the company that I went through, so I looked it up because I had no record of it prior to that and in fact it was there but now it’s been deemed dead and the money was refunded to the company that filed it which I’m not exactly sure if it was this company or the company I actually paid to do it. Can you help me here? I’m I’m lost. I’m scammed and I’m quite upset. And I currently do not have the funds right now to actually re-file so I have to figure out what I’m gonna do now.
