This year’s International Trademark Association (INTA) conference was the first time the group held its large annual meeting in Asia. More than 8,000 trademark professional from around the word descended on Hong Kong. The city was a fabulous host for the gathering, even though the weather was almost unbearable.

As you can see from the photos, the weather was rainy, cloudy, foggy, humid, wet, and/or overcast for 99% of the time. After the first day or two, most everyone let down their guard about being continuously sweaty and soggy, with wrinkled clothing, and things got more relaxed. But the food, shopping, transportation, and people were all terrific. The city is clean and easy to navigate (although finding a taxing is not always easy). Many buildings are connected by walkways keeping pedestrians dry and out of traffic. The subways and ferries are easy to use, fast, and reliable.

Over the next few days, I will share more photos and details:

  • Skylines and sights
  • Meet the Bloggers
  • Visiting Clients
  • Disneyland Hong Kong

If I had to capture the meeting in just one photo…. It is a sweaty back.  We all had one!
