The Nashville Sounds are a minor league baseball team. This month, they unveiled a new logo. The new logo is great.

Why? It is simple, it is unique. It is suggestive — the “N” font is reminiscent of music.  The background is a guitar pick. The colors – yellow or sand or tan – are also associated with the city.

The old logo, below, was unispiring and had not connection to the musical history of the city.

Logos can be powerful. They can tell a story, communicate a history, and connect with customers. Kudos to the Nashville Sound for their new logo.
